I am OK with your son taking over; just making sure the process is within the league rules. I will run it by the other owners as this is new to me and I have not been around for many owner changes in MWAC.

Actually my son took over my team with my permission a week ago and was in the website looking at the rules and the team settings. Not sure what the big deal is? If you dont want my son taking over just say so, I will gladly take back my team.

Michael,
I froze your ability to trade/add/drop until hearing from you what was going on. Yesterday your team name was deleted and all of your info (name, address, contact info) was removed from the site. Without hearing why, I wanted to freeze it before rosters or anything else became affected. You had hinted at leaving the league previously, and I guess I started to make assumptions about your replacement in my message post...sorry about jumping the gun. Do you plan to participate next you, or would you like to see about handing your team off to your son? While taking a break and figuring that out, you shouldn't need to trade/add/drop until ready to move forward one way or another.

Wow Commish, you don’t take long. Locked out my rights to my team.

First commish, just because I don’t answer your email for a day, doesn’t give you the right to take over my team. I was just taking a break from the league and my son was taking the reins for the mean time. Never did I say I was quitting or not participating. Funny how you jump all over that with your friend that wants in and would take over. The league doesn’t assume ownership of my team unless I say I am done. I have friends that will take my team as well, so you can forget your little idea. Boy power does run wild when some get a little taste.

We need to hear from Michael himself with what his plans are moving forward. The rules state that when an owner chooses not to participate, MWAC assumes ownership of the franchise until a replacement is found (via lottery drawing). The rules do not address passing a team off to immediate family (although that may not be a bad idea to allow). I am not sure if a precedent has already been established for this. I do have a friend of ours (Todd) who has been interested in joining our league for some time now (and other owners may know interested people as well), so finding a replacement (if needed) will not be an issue.

Rowdy, your team name disappeared and your info has been removed from your team page…what’s going on? Are you leaving the league?
