SJS has always belonged in a league with the Cal Polys, Sac St., UCDs. etc... SJS has always been grappling for scrapes and making due with less than a shoestring budget. FCS is State's calling. The facilities are FCS level, the fan interest is FCS (or worse) and support from the students and schools is more like DIII. Conferences don't care if we're in a large media market. They want to see stands full of people. If TV market were that important, the Univ. of Chicago (#3) TV in the country) would have had a FBS program long ago.
