In keeping with their downsizing and realloction theme, SJSU officals have been in discussions with The IBI Group to redesign the Event Center. Plans call for the elimination of the northern seating sections and convert the area into offices for the Pride Center (currently having to occupy a small office in the student union). Because the sports team that utilize the event center rarly draw more the 2,500 fans, its been decided those 1800 seats aren't necessary and would be better utilized for office space.
