I'm inquiring to see if there is a way to find ANY information on my grandfather John White Cain who served in the Royal Artillery.

Unfortunately I have no hard info to go on other than he said that he had been in China and I think Gibralter during WWII.

He was born in County Durham in 1912 and lived in Dunstable Beds up until his death in the late 1980s.

Is there a source that I could contact to find info on my grandfather? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm compiling a family history and am sorely lacking any info on him.
