hi jim , scouse smith here i was in 58 med regt but it was in 1957 and 175 bty but itwas in menden germany which was 8 yrs after you dad was in palestine , i didn`t know the 58med was in palestine in 1948 , if they were then i`v learnt something new , sorry i`m of no assistance
