I finished A Suitable Boy which I thoroughly enjoyed. Almost 1500 pages, and I was always eager to get to my day's reading. I would have gladly read more of it. Wonderful, well-drawn characters, interesting story lines. It was all good.
Now I'm reading The Spring of My Life, a book that is mostly haiku, by Issa, and I'm also reading Chuang Tzu.
I'll finish these and read maybe one more short book before starting The Three Musketeers around the first of December. How is it going, Sterling? I am not exactly eager. I very much enjoyed The Count of Monte Cristo and I enjoyed The Black Tulip which I read with you all, but I found The Man in the Iron Mask dreadfully boring.
