Thanks so much for replying to my query on Digges Genealogy. I appreciate the recommendation and want to get Bowie’s book. I’ve written to one provider to verify that the issue they sell includes both volumes.
I just found a good bit of information on Digges from “Adventures of Purse and Person”.. some of it shockingly new and adding to what I keep accumulating. BUT a question to those who may know where to find things in Prince George. There is a reference in the volume to the Teresa Ann Digges which I’ve very interested in, and wondering where I might source documents. Living in California makes it hard to drop by;-)
Where might I find Prince George County Will Book T#1, op. 589?
Does anyone know where one might locate old issues of Baltimore Federal Gazette for 25 January 1805?
According to Adventures of Purse and Person, Teresa died 28 Dec 1804 at Warburton and was listed in the Baltimore Federal Gazette of 25 Jan 1805 listed as “Mrs. Ann Digges”. She’s said to have “left will 13 Oct 1800 - 23 Jan. 1805 in Prince George County Will Book, T#1, p. 589.
Any tips or suggestions would be deeply appreciated.
