And the note at the bottom of the page says: In 1860, the Nottingham District contained 969 Free Whites, 129 Free Blacks, and 1,360 Slaves for a total population of 2,458, though there were only 63 Slave Holders. The Aquasco District had 614 Free Whites, 186 Free Blacks, and 1200 Slaves for a total population of 2,000 of which 95 were Slave Holders. (According to Simon J. Martenet’s 1861 Atlas of Prince George’s Co.)
