You may get some info at the main Hyattsville branch of the PG library. They have a history collection. Also, I know that there is an archives of PG County newspapers at the Enoch Pratt main library in downtown Baltimore. If you are determined to go there, you might want to call first and see if they have the December 1901 newspapers on microfilm before you go all the way up there.
