: No, we have only the dates of the marriage
: licenses. I checked in our records of
: marriages and deaths from 19th century
: newspapers, and found none of those
: marriages detailed, only the death of Thomas
: Cater of Greenwood, at age circa 50 on
: August 1,1854. Do you know of any church
: associations of members of the family? We
: could check church records next . . . .

: I know the Cater families belong to the Church of England. They lived on the boarder of Prince George's County and Queen Anne County between 1765-1830. In census it mentions Hydes. They lived 8 miles from Washington DC. 1 mile from Centreville Tavern. Do you have a map of this immediate area??
Do you have a list of Parishes in this area, I am forever grateful for any help, the CATER family records are hard to find, they also are listed as CATOR/CATO and sometimes CARTER.
Thank you in advance,
Basia
