My name is Kelly and I’m posting this on behalf of Wells Fargo, to see if the Prince George's County Historical Society could help us with our image research. We are working on designing several murals for our Prince George's County stores, using historic imagery that relates directly to the local community of each branch. We typically use images from the late 1800s through the 1940s, of downtown street scenes, important landmarks or monuments, historic buildings, daily life, people, transportation, local schools, etc. We credit the societies that work with us in legend posters accompanying the murals in the branches. While there are many more details involved in what kind of images we can use (and they have to be high resolution scans of original photos), I am going to start by just listing the branch names and addresses in case any of your members might have photos pertinent to those specific location. Please email me at: kelly.a.riggio@wellsfargo.com
with any questions or hopefully, image samples! And while I know many of these branches were probably farmland at the turn of the century, we can focus on county history where appropriate to give a more well-rounded picture (forgive the pun!).
Thank you!
