I sent a response to you a few days ago regarding the Riston family, but I see that somehow it did not register in the Historical Society digital posting board, so I’ll try again.

I ‘m sorry to say that I find very little about the Riston family in the records of St. John’s Church (Broad Creek). Six family members are listed in the church records, and I hope that this information will help you at least a bit:

Thompson, James Otho, b. 4 Oct 1805, bapt. 25 May 1806, son of John Thompson & Rachel Riston

Riston, Delaney, b. 27 Oct 1813, bapt. 23 May 1820, twin of Sophia, daughter of Zadock & wife

Riston, Sophia, b. 27 Oct 1813, bapt. 23 May 1820, twin of Delany, daughter of Zadock & wife

Riston, James Henry, b. 29 March 1814, bapt. 23 May 1820, son of Zadock & wife

Riston, Dennis Washington, b. 24 Sept 1819, bapt. 23 May 1820, son of Dennis & wife

Riston, James Thonas, b. 24 Sept 1822, bapt. 12 Dec 1822, son of Dennis & wife.

This is all that appears in the church records, and I find no indications of death and/or burials of any members of the family.
