Like I can imagine parts of it — a character, a setting, maybe even a specific moment — but I can’t fully “see” how everything connects. Especially when it involves motion, camera angles, or transitions between scenes.
It feels like there’s always a gap between what I picture in my head and what the final result could actually look like.
So recently I started experimenting with creating rough visual drafts first, just as a way to think more clearly.
Not for final production — more like:
- testing how a scene evolves over time
- trying different perspectives or framing
- exploring pacing before committing to anything
- figuring out whether an idea even works visually
It’s actually been surprisingly helpful. Seeing even a rough version makes it much easier to adjust ideas early instead of reworking everything later.
I tried using this tool for a few of these experiments, and it worked pretty well as a kind of visual thinking aid.
Not perfect of course, but good enough to explore ideas quickly without getting stuck.
Curious how others approach this — do you just rely on imagination, or do you sketch / prototype things first in some way?
