what do you ask for from a sponsor? ive been playing ball for a while and now I have someone wanting to sponsor probably just a mens tournament team. He said just give him a number and we will see what we can do but im not really sure what/how much to ask for any input?

How many times are you going to play in a year ? uniforms, softballs, that's a good start ..hope that helps

im thinking maybe 15 or so tournaments a year have a good squad so I know we can compete... im just not sure what to ask boss/sponsor said he just wanted a number and I don't know if I should tell him per tournament or what or how to go about it really.

15 tourneys at an avg of $350 (some more some less): $5250 Unfiorms: $1200 Travel/Hotels (a third of tourneys): $2000 Kicks and giggles: $1550 TOTAL: $10,000 If you get it from them let me know so I can hit 'em up too!!

Shoot, I'm always like I'll take whatever you are willing to give me! We've had people come in and pay 3 or 4 tournaments a year and if you can get 3 or 4 people to do that it can really go a long way. I find that easier than finding one person to pay the whole thing. We always pay for uniforms out of pocket too.

Seriously....Depends on how professional you want it to look or your relationship with this guy. If you are trying to impress him write up something on Word and cater to playing tournies near or around his employment and state as such like Raliegh,Burlington,Charlotte,M. Beach. That will open his eyes to potential markets there for his business. Let him know how many tournies you plan on playing. Safe bet is to say 2 and express your desire to play in ther States,Nationals, and World. If you play 3 he may want to pick up the tab depending on how your team is competeing. Ask him what colors he wants and if he is willing to help pay for the unis and let him know where his companys name will show up on jerseys and that it will show up on message boards and at the tournies. Also when your team is out eating folks will ask about your team name and where is it located and what it does. If no dice on unis just get team to pay as you can get decent deals as a team. Just sell the marketing and pr his company will get and if you get ANY hardwear like a 4th place plaque take it to him and make sure he knows his efforts are appreciated by you and your team.
Just my thoughts as it has worked in the past for me and my guys.It does help to have a round about figure in your head for amt of tournies,balls,unis...but itemize those cats as well and have it with you. Good luck...
