Why shouldn't they be allowed to play in it? Look at their record and tell me why they shouldn't be allowed? They should've been allowed to play in the E State.

Mick They have been playing d all year and have a 500 record in D class and are allowed to play E. But a team that was registered E at the beginning of the year and is winless in D class is not allowed to play. Is there not something wrong with that picture.

My buddies with G&J should be able to play in the E World as well. We all know what it takes to compete in the Worlds and you must have a team on the bubble like ours or Smash Mouth and some other teams to be able to do anything down there. It's all on who gets hot at the right time and who gets a good draw along with some lucky breaks. Good luck to everyone that goes down there and safe travels.

HK - we registered as a D team because of players we thought who were going to be committed all year long (that didn't happen). After asking to re-class we were asked to continue playing D for better clarification. After the tournaments this year I had an in depth review of our performance this year and historically with the directors (an email of statistics that I would be happy to forward you). It was determined that our team and it's players were E players. We were asked not to play the E states (to my chagrin, but) understandably. I think I know who you're referring to as the other team, but if you'd just play ball with the directors a little as asked they might work with you as well, as was our case. I understand that you may be upset about your team not playing, but as far as us a "D" team playing in the worlds, I would encourage teams going to Florida to look at the teams stats from around the US. We certainly are not at the top of that list.

based on the current format of how teams are classified, I would say that they are an "E" team.
With that said, I do agree with you. However, They aren't the only ones. I could think of about 10 teams that should be moved to "D". As long as all classes are treated the same nothing will ever change.
Something needs to give. Utrip is not the only softball association out there. If you want to see change you have to be willing to hit them where it hurts, in the wallet.
