They tried to create a "F" class for beginner teams and teams just looking to have fun in a random weekend tournament. It is called "E Rec". Somehow, teams keep aspiring to play at the absolute lowest level they are allowed to play;therefore, E rec has now seen a noticeable incrase in the number of teams. That doesn't make you a better player or team.

It is somewhat like if Tiger Woods decided to go play on the Nationwide tour so he can dominate the fields each week, rather than compete against the best in the world. Another example would be a MLB team wishing to play only AA and AAA teams so they can win rather than play against the best. It is so much more rewarding when you have defeated the best on the highest level.

With that said, it has been a problem for at least the last 12-14 years (if not longer) and will continue to be a problem until the players decide to do something about it. The directors can only do so much to prevent teams playing down because teams are constantly finding ways to circumvent the system so they can play down and trophy/ring hunt. The constant griping/complaining/cheating that has overtaken the game is what has driven several good sponsors/players/coaches away.
