I know this place is pretty dead now, but I felt inspired to have a poke around for old times' sake. I used to haunt this place back in 2007 or so...
I became a fan of Kimba at the age of 10, I'm 24 years old now and while my love has wavered since then, I still have a soft spot for the white lion. Still got all my merch stored away somewhere : ) I was sad to find out that Craig Andersen died (I found out 3 years after the fact). Throughout most of my young teenagehood I would frequent his Kimba site and even though I never knew him, he was almost like a friend to me as corny as that sounds. If his site hadn't existed, I'd have never got into Kimba, or Tezuka and I don't know if I would have got into art as much as I have done in the past decade or so. Interestingly, one of the main characters of one my stories is mostly white, go figure : P
This site was another of my favourites too, I loved listening to the music in the history section and reading all about the TLK/Kimba controversy. Good times.
Anyway, I'm rambling. Kimba forever!
Dear Rhiannon,
I've finally managed to write you a reply (I couldn't do it earlier since I've been geting some "500" errors when I tried to post a reply). I guess you're right about this website being very inactive for quite a long time now. The reason is that I'm very busy on my new job, which never left me enough free time to finish the "new" website design and to migrate the content to it from the "old" site (available on http://www.50yearsofkimba.com/index.html).
But you can see on the News section that this site isn't dead yet, and I'm still looking for Kimba news to post them. So stay tuned and please watch that space for new updates! :-)
Best regards,
CroKimba
