Kimba the white lion (called Leo in this movie) and Kitty (Lyre) have cubs called Lune and Lukio. After that scene, we come to a city scene where a man called Mr. Hamegg is trying to sell a stone which is pink (they say its red in this movie, looks pink to me) he doesn't succseed (oh by the way, after he leaves the first shop we can see Osamu Tezuka, the creator of Kimba and Astroboy and all in the window in cartoon-style!)
Anyway, Hamegg doesn't get very far and these two men take him away, and lots of men try to do experiments on the stone. Everything breaks, "The moonlight stone, just like I thought," said one man.
Meanwhile, two men, Dr. Minus and his assistant, Dr. Lemonade (funny names) give him back the stone and ask him where he got it from. The man who said "the moonlight stone, just like I thought" comes in and says that the only proof they have of where the stones came from is an old photograph, and the place is Mt. Moon.
Hamegg sets off to Africa.
Meanwhile, Pauley Cracker (Coco) tries to teach Lune to fly.
It ends up making Lune angry, Lukio and Bucky (Tomy) come bounding over.
Lukio says its dangerous, but Lune carries on anyway. He does manage to fly, only for a few seconds, and then he falls. He isn't hurt though, Lukio asks "Are you okay? You're not hurt are you?"
Lune replies: "No! That was fun!"
Meanwhile, the four find an old crashed airplane, after Coco tells Lune it could fly, Lune becomes facinated with it immedietly. Then he finds a music box, they're all scared of it and hide. Lune tries to scare it, but it doesn't do anything, he is relaxed by the music, until something sucks the music box away. It is a young elephant called Bizo. It ends up in a fight, and Lune wins. But Pagoola, Bizo's father, nearly squashes him, but seeing how brave he is, doesn't squash him.
Bizo is upset by all this, but Pagoola throws him in the river and tells him off. Then they both walk home.
Hamegg arrives in the jungle, a buffalo in the middle of the savannah is weak, and some dogs are cicling it, above them, are some vultures. A man called Dr. Moustache sees this and chases the dogs away in his jeep. The buffalo collapses after a while. Dr. Lemonade and Dr. Moustache go and see. The reason why the buffalo fell was because of a bullet. Hamegg comes out of his car. "Ooh, that looks bad," he says sarcastically, "Look, they missed the heart, ha, you got to bring them down in one bullet - pow!"
"You WHAT?!" asks Dr. Moustache.
Dr. Lemonade introduces them to each other. Then Hamegg leaves, Dr Moustache now knows to keep away from this man.
Lukio is playing with a mouse, when Lyre asks where Lune is. After playing with Lyre's tail, Lukio runs off, hearing something.
She finds Lune, at the airplane with the music box.
Dr. Moustache meanwhile at a camp says not to shoot any of the animals on their way to the mountain, they all don't agree (except for Dr. Lemonade, he agrees not to do any of that) and this makes Dr. M angry.
Hamegg says the last time he found the stone it was in a southern river, he says that's where they're going and that is that.
After hearing a gunshot, Leo goes to see what it is. A spark in the distance means man, dangerous man, is in the jungle.
All the men (except for Dr. M and Dr. Lemonade) and detroying the jungle. The animals either get away, or get killed. One warthog lost all her babies (well, except one) and got shot.
A gazelle got shot.
Dr. M saw this and told Hamegg off big time. Then Dr. M went driving off, crashing into a tree. Are they ok?
Leo gets news that Uncle Rhino is in trouble, meanwhile Tomy's tail is in fire and tries to get it off.
He succseeds and goes to help Leo. The elephants try to put out the fire. Leo however fails that task to try and help Uncle Rhino. He jumps on Hamegg, taking his gun and throwing it aside, he circles him, when suddenly a burning tree falls down, and makes Hamegg run away. Leo roars as if to say "AND STAY OUT!"
He walks off. The elephants wonder why he didn't kill Hamegg.
