The Ford rims are from the same era but not being produced. I haven't figured out where International fits in here yet. I thought I've posted this information before but I couldn't find it. Here is what I've found about the description of the different DRW wheels. At a glance they look the same.
Jeep DRW wheels have a split lock ring with the "split" being "S" shaped.
Fords came two ways. The "split" is straight or the ring is one piece.
There is another rim that looks kinda the same. Where the center of the rim meets the bell (next to the lock ring) there should be 1/2 inch of space that you can put your finger into. The "wrong style" has no space to hook your finger into.
And then there are 17.5 inch Ford one piece drop center rims of which the tires are the same outside diameter as the 16 inch and have a similar look.
I will look through my supply to see what I have available today and report back.
And just to add this in. These wheels are NOT "split rims" aka "widow makers" Split rims are where in the middle of the inner and outer half of the bell come apart kinda like a wheel barrow, hand truck or forklift wheel.
I also need 6 rims (4 rear / 2 front) for an FC-170 DRW restoration due to rot on the existing rims. Does anyone know where I can get rims refurbished? What Ford rims are compatible? Are these Ford rims still in production or from an older model truck?
i need 3 for sure, havn't taken the other one off yet. do you have a set of the ford ones?
How many are you looking for Dennis? Are you wanting the exact ones are the ones from Fords close enough?
I'm in SW Washington
anyone have any drw rims/wheels for sale?
