National Spring helped immensely with my 170 bushing issues, old school shop. bring cash for possible discount.
Try National Spring in West Milwaukee
Post where your located, maybe someone can recommend a spring manufacturer close to you or a spring source that lists wide track springs. They are definitely wider and more heavy duty than the early CJ5 springs. Best of luck with your new project, keep us posted on your progress!
It's a wide track. Spring over axle.
Where can I get new springs from?
I will fix any stress cracks I can find asap. Taking box off tonight for further inspection if all goes well.
Is your (new to you, congratulations!) FC a wide track or narrow track 150? 1960 FC 150 I believe should be a wide track, (springs outboard the frame rails not under the frame rails like a CJ, also the wide track should have spring over Dana 44's diffs front and rear not spring under Dana 25 front and 44 rear like the narrow track). If its a wide track they are different than CJ springs. If a narrow track, I'd double check length and the FC forward design has more weight on the front springs to consider the pack thickness. Also take a close look at the frame just behind the back front spring frame mount, frame cracks at that spot are not uncommon. The 150 frames are similar to a CJ except the very front frame horns turn up higher than a CJ frame.
Hi all. Just bought a 60 fc150. Going to bring it back to life. Since its basically a cj frame, can I buy leaf springs for a 1960 cut as replacements?
