FREEDOM ISN'T FREE by Gene Minix We need to proclaim all across this land. There's something everyone needs to see. That freedom is a precious thing But freedom isn't free. I love the old red, white and blue. I love to see it raised high. And each time I gaze up at it I'm reminded of all those so willing to die. Those who gave their lives for our freedom. Their sacrifice means so much to me. Freedom is such a precious thing But freedom isn't free. So many people have been blinded today And our history they refuse to see. And they take our freedom all for granted. They don't realize freedom isn't free. The Declaration of Independence And our Constitution are beautiful to me. But some seem to care nothing at all That freedom is a precious thing but freedom isn't free. We should all be thankful to God. We should all do all we can to insure this nation would always be The Republic our forefathers founded and we should never forget That freedom is a precious thing, but freedom isn't free. © Copyright 2012, by Gene Minix.
