THE OLD TIRE SWING by Gene Minix Just pondering on days long ago When on a summer day We kids would go to the big oak tree And on the old tire swing we'd play. It was tied to a big limb, The old tire swing we'd made. And what fun it was to play There under the big oak's shade. Up, up, up we'd go! And then back down! Sometimes we'd twist and twist And go 'round and 'round. 'Round and 'round we'd go 'Till we were dizzy as could be. O, the fun on a summer day In the old tire swing on the big oak tree. © Copyright 2012, by Gene Minix. All rights reserved. |
