BAREFOOTED by Gene Minix Ah, see the smiling children Happy they all play. Barefooted........ It is the first day of May The little girls in red shorts And boy's trousers rolled up to the knee. Wading through rain water puddles Joyfully as can be. There's something magic about the first of May When outside you can go. Barefooted .....feel the fresh green grass Between each toe.
