AN EASTER CAROL by Gene Minix Many years ago on Resurrection morning As the day was breaking. The morning came shining bright For many hearts that had been aching. Because the stone was moved. The grave was not a prison. Jesus was not among the dead. Our Saviour had arisen. O, the joy that filled hearts On that first Resurrection day. Jesus lives, yes, He lives ! The stone was rolled away. And as Easter comes this year, We can celebrate the day. For the tomb is an empty tomb Where our Saviour once did lay. He lives, Christ Jesus lives ! Praise to our Saviour and Lord above.
