AUTUMN WAS CALLING by Gene Minix Autumn was calling. Leaves were falling. As I walked the wooded trail the other day. The brook ran along Tripping over stones And nearby the squirrels were at play. An eagle in the sky Sent down his cry As I walked the wooded trail the other day. Little chipmunks sounded. All around joy abounded. As I walked, happily singing on my way. Such peace I found. Joy did truly abound. As I walked the wooded trail the other day. As I gazed up above I could feel God's love And there on the wooded trail I knelt to pray. © Copyright 2019, by Gene Minix.
