AUTUMN IS A GYPSY GIRL by Gene Minix She dresses herself in red and brown With a sash of brilliant gold. And strolls across the country So cheerful and bold. All dressed in her very best. Round and round she twirls. And every eye is upon Autumn. Autumn is a gypsy girl. Oh, the magic of her beauty As she runs through the day. Her majestic spirit touches hearts And every eye turns her way. The breeze is her violin. She dances by campfire light. The moon looks down upon her In it's wonderfulness so full and bright. In fields corn shocks stand. Pumpkins are stacked high. Apple trees bow their limbs When Autumn walks by. Oh, the splendor of it all. The beauty of the day. Autumn is a gypsy girl Who will steal your heart away. The days come crisp and cool And round and round she twirls. And every heart is warmed. Autumn is a gypsy girl. © Copyright 2013, by Gene Minix.
