A RAINY DAY POEM by Gene Minix A rainy day, soft rain falling. It plays a love song on the roof. The fireplace is glowing. A perfect time for me to take out my pen and write you a poem. I'll write it to the tune of the soft rain falling down, down , down. I begin to write. With a cup of hot coffee on my desk. Your picture in the golden frame, you smile at me. And I melt inside. Even when I look at your picture it moves me so. I write the words and the lines fill the pages. Lines of love, words of love just for you. I can feel you beside me as I pen the words down.
