Just looking over an old menu . Ah, these prices. The Good Old Days for sure.
I'll share just a few of them with you.

Two ( not a hot dog) but TWO hot dogs................. 25 cents.

Grilled Steak Sandwich......... 15 cents.

A barbecue pork sandwich........... 30 cents.

Cheeseburger......... 25 cents.

French Fries......... 15 cents.

Potato Chips......... 10 cents.

Fried Apple Pie......... 10 cents

Coca Cola..........5 cents.

Coffee........5 cents.

Chocolate Milk....... 10 cents

Milk Shake..........20 cents.

Do you know the year? Here's a few more facts from this year.

The average cost of a new house was around 13,000 dollars. A new
car was 3,500 dollars.

Gas was 30 cents a gallon.

A ticket to the movies cost you $1.25. A first class postage stamp was 5 cents.

Got the year, yet? Well, here's a few more clues. Know you'll guess it now...........

The first Ford Mustang was made. What a car! Still is!

The Beatles appear on Ed Sullivan for the first time.

Some giant songs were: Begging to You by Marty Robbins.
B.J. the D.J. by Stonewall Jackson. Saginaw Michigan by Lefty Frizzell.
Johnny Cash had a smash hit with Understand Your Man.

Buck Owens had a giant hit with My Heart Skips A Beat. Roger Miller
was doing his giant hit, Dang Me. And Connie Smith had a super hit
with Once A Day.

What a giant hit for the Beatles.........I Want To Hold Your Hand.

Roy Orbison had a giant hit with Oh, Pretty Woman.
I Get Around by the Beach Boys. Gale Garnett had a smash hit
with We'll Sing In The Sunshine.

J. Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers brought tears with their
super hit.......Last Kiss.

The Drifters had a great hit with Under the Boardwalk.

The Dixie Cups were going to the Chapel of Love.

Ah, bet you know the year now, don't you! :-)

That's right. It was 1964.
