IF I COULD GIVE

If I had the power
To you I would give
The gift of eternal life
And peace that is so real.

I'd give you faith
To believe more and more
In the power of God
To unlock a door.

I'd give you overflowing joy
Flowing deep down within.
And I'd give to you
Forgiveness of your sin.

I'd give you a heart of love
Where compassion could be found.
Helping hands to reach out
And touch lives all around.

But these things I cannot give.
The power isn't within my hand.
But I can point you to Christ Jesus,
He who truly can.
