the election thing sounds good in theory but judging from how hard it is to convince somebody to referee a game properly very few people will A) be up to the challenge
B) be qualified to do it
C) be active enough to be accountable for anything
D) have the charisma or assertiveness to enforce anything as their new found committment will always be questioned where as JK has time and time again proven himself

JK untill you groom somebody to run the league with the same care and enthusaism as you do it things will/cannot change. so save the retirement speech.
