
Secondly, I'd also like to give kudos to Manjinder for his run. I've said it before, and still maintain, that in our league, a captain's job is more important than just winning cups at the end of the day. I know that's not the popular opinion and may sound like a copout as I haven't won as a captain either but it is the truth. This isn't the NHL and we don't get paid to play. Certain intangibles like dedication to the league, helping your teammates grow as players (where they might be sitting on the bench on other teams) are not things that can be quantified but are major factors in how captains are chosen, I believe. In that respect, I'd like to say that Manjinder was a great captain (yes, even more so than some guys who have won) and probably will be again some time sooner rather than later.
