Again, hard-core sports gear outside of a sporting context does not make a strong style statement, which is reason enough to make our second installment of clothes big boys don't wear. Also, most women don’t really care all that much about sports (though some may pretend to), so the most attention you’ll get from wearing a sports jersey on the street might be an argument from a supporter from a rival team. Sports jerseys represent your interests and affiliations -- not your fashion sense. So, save them for where they’ll be appreciated: on the field or in the stands.
