Well, the team decided to put out 3 of the boys for stud service consideration. The 3 are brothers. Grouse Trails Little Bud, AKA Buddy; Grouse Trails Black Knight, AKA Knight, are 3.5 years old, and, a repeat breeding, a full brother, but at 1.5 years old now, Grouse Trails Chippewa Warrior, AKA Chip.
All 3 are well above average, truly outstanding Pointers!! All have great noses, very intelligent, exceptional bird finders, exude class & style, superb fast runners, easy to train, & friendly biddable personalities. Plus, they are breathtaking on point! They’ve mastered wild birds & have proven that in field trials with multiple placements.
ALL 4 Grandparents to these 3 are multiple Champions. Their mother, 3 X CH, 1 X RU CH Grouse Trails Warrior Cat, AKA “Kitty”, who is now 5 years old, is from John Stolgitis’s Chasehill kennel. She’s out of Panola Bacon & Chasehill Little Izzy. That breeding nick, produced Chasehill Poison Ivy, Ralphy’s Chasehill Rip, & many other sisters & brothers to Kitty, who have won a multitude of championships, including the Grand National & the Invitational.
Kittys had 6 pups in her first litter, 3 years back. By 2 years old, 4 of them had won CH or RU CH titles on Grouse or Woodcock. 4 out of 6 champions at 2 years old! Let that sink in. Bud & Knight, just 3 now, offered here for stud, are 2 of those.
Their sire is, Toro, who went to hunters that haven’t ran him in any Championships, but knowing this dog, if they had, I’m positive he’d have many CHs in front of his name. Toro is out of my kennel. 6X CH, 2 RU CH Grouse Trails Pride & 4X CH, 2X RU CH Grouse Trails Cracker Jack. Most of those wins were on wild birds, primarily Grouse & Woodcock, but also Sharptails.
Consequently, there are a multitude of aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, parent, & all 4 grandparents that have won at the CH level. It would be extremely difficult to find a pedigree, such as these 3 brothers, with more gold up that close!
But better than that, all 3 of these studs have excelled at both hunting & proven their metal in field trials!
Chip, this last fall, at 1.5-year-old derby, placed in numerous derby events. Including the 23 dog Open derby at the Barrens Sharptail CH. This beautiful & truly outstanding Pointer, I am very confident, will have multiple CH titles by the time he’s 4 years old.
Knight, having multiple placements & coming close numerous times, won RU CH at the 43 dog Wisconsin Cover Dog CH last year at 2 years old. He is breathtaking on point!
Buddy, a truly outstanding Pointer, won his first CH last year at 2 years old, & this year at 3, he won 2 more CHs. 3 Championship wins at just 3 years old! I foresee a number more for this young lad. He is one of the best that I’ve ever had in 40 years of pointing dogs.
Consequently, we are offering these 3 outstanding males for stud to good females. Cost by private contract.
