G'day All; Amazing how the media is trying to focus on the current events- earthly things- and present such negative outlooks and comments. The arise of depression is occurring on so many. The cost of living becoming harder for many to meet. Weather variations stimulating financial repercussions as well. Supposed church leaders encourage prayer, which is in appearance for the good of the people- and can indeed be of good intentions- but instills much concern in the masses and stimulates many questions as to what is happening and why.
This tends to diminish/overlook what Paul talks about.
Philippians 3;13b-21 " However, one thing- forgetting the things behind and eagerly reaching out to the things ahead, I press on with the goal in view for the prize of that which is above of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, as many as are full-grown, let this be our resolve; and if you are somewhat differently resolved God shall also reveal this to you, nevertheless, we have already advanced to where we are stepping along in the same rank.
Brethren, become imitation of me together and pay close attention to people who are living this way- even as you have us as an example-
for MANY are walking- of whom I have often been telling you, and now even weeping I tell you -as enemies of the cross of Christ; whose end is destruction, whose god is the belly, and whose glory is in their shame. who are resolved on the earthly things. For OUR citizenship is in the heavens; from where we do ardently expect a saviour- The Lord Jesus Christ- Who WILL transform our humbled body into conformity with His glorified body according to the energy with which He is able to subdue all things to Himself."
Now that is a brilliant concept and true demonstration of the love of Christ.

Howdy all;
We seem to be given a little insight into how should be our current lifestyle amongst these earthly things.
Romans 13;14 " Put on the Lord Jesus Christ and take no forethought for the flesh to fulfill it's covetings."
Romans 14;17-19 " For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit; for the one who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by people. So then, let us pursue what makes for peace and for building up one another."
Romans 15;7 " Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God."
1 Thess 4;9 " But concerning brotherly love you have no need that we be writing to you; for you yourselves are God-taught to be loving one another."
1 Thess 4;11,12 " Be ambitious to be quiet and to be attending to your own affairs and to be be working with your own hands even as we gave charge to you, that you should walk reputably towards those outsiders being dependent on no-one."
Romans 8;18 " For I reckon that the sufferings of the present age are unworthy to be compared with the glory about to be revealed to us."
Hebrews 12;11 " But no discipline for the present seems to be of joy but sorrow; however, afterwards, to them who have thereby been well trained, it yields peaceful fruit of righteousness."
1 Cor 3;11 " For no one can lay any other foundation than that which is lying which is Jesus Christ."
2 Cor 9;8 " Moreover, God is able to cause every gracious gift to super-abound to you in order that you may be super-abounding to every good work having in everything of every time every kind of sufficiency of your own."
