Hear this all people.
Give ear all you inhabitants of this passing world; both sons of the law and sons of the high- together, both rich and needy;
My mouth shall speak forth wisdom, and soft utterance of my heart be understanding.
I will stretch out my ear to a proverb; I will open out my riddle upon the harp.
Why should I fear in the days of adversity, though the iniquity of them who lie in wait for me will surround me.
Those trusting on their wealth, and in the abundance of their riches,do boast themselves.
None of them can redeem a brother.
He cannot give a ransom for himself to God.
So costly is the redemption of their souls and it has ceased to the age that he should yet live on continually and should not see the grave. For it is seen that the wise die; together with the fool and the brutish person they perish; and leave their wealth to others.
Their inward thought is that their lives are for times age-abiding; their habitation for generation after generation- they give their names to the lands.
And yet man does not remain in honour. He has been like the beasts that are silent.
This, their way, is their stupidity.
And yet their followers approve with their mouth [Selah].
They are driven like sheep into hades.
Death it shall graze on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their form is to decay; hades is a dwelling for him.
But God will redeem my soul out of the hand of hades, for He will take me.[Selah].
Do not fear when a man becomes rich, when the glory of his house increases;
for when he dies he shall take nothing- his glory shall not descend after him. For though he used to bless his own self while he lived, and they will praise you when you are doing well for yourself, he shall enter as far as the circle of his fathers; they shall NEVER perceive the light.
Man who is high in honour, but who does not discern, has made himself comparable to the beasts that are silent.
Seems to be pretty much what we are seeing at the moment.
2 Cor 3;4,5 " But we have such confidence as this, through the Christ, towards God.
Not that we are to reckon of ourselves that we are sufficient of anything as of ourselves,
BUT OUR SUFFICIENCY IS OF GOD;"
Gal 4;28-31 " And we , brethren, are children of a promise after the manner of Isaac.
But just as then he that had been born after the manner of the flesh did persecute him who had been born after the manner of the spirit, thus also now.
But what does the scripture say?
Cast out the serving woman and her son;
For in now way shall the son of the serving woman inherit with the son of the free.
There fore brethren we are not children of the serving woman but of the free."
