Are you sure YOUR name IS written in the Heavenly “Book of Life?” Is there absolutely not a shadow of a doubt in your mind, that your Salvation is already secured and you’re just waiting on the good Lord to call you home to be with Him? If the answer is “No, Not Sure, I Think So, Maybe, or Probably, then you need to get busy right now working on fixing that. You need to be totally sure where your Soul will spend eternity!” And AMEN goes right here….

The Third Eye Perspective:
By Carlos C. Brown
Thought For Today – “He’s An I Can Do Anything Kind of God!”
My Christian brothers and sisters, by a show of virtual hands, how many of you need a serious or “life changing” Blessing from God? Maybe you need a job? Maybe you need a new vehicle? Maybe you need a home? Maybe you need a little (or a lot) more money to pay your bills? Maybe you need a husband or wife, boyfriend or girlfriend? Maybe you need Healing from a terminal illness? Maybe you need your children to get their lives together? Maybe your need is to somehow break out of that depression funk you’ve been in for days, months, or even years? Maybe your need might be to lose a certain amount of weight (uh ummmm, that would be me! LOL)? Maybe your need is of the Spiritual nature, you just can’t seem get motivated to get your Church or Praise on like you know you should be? Maybe you grew up without your biological father or mother in your life and it has left you feeling empty or a huge void in your life? Maybe you are a loner, and you need a true good and loyal “ride or die” type of friend? Maybe you need some positive vibes to happen in your life right now? Maybe you need your significant other to stop taking you for granted, or start appreciating you more? Maybe just maybe, you really don’t “need” any of the above, you have just convinced yourself that you do and it is more based on “want” than “need?” It is highly possible that you are already Blessed and don’t even know it! However, if indeed you really do have a serious need like mentioned above, I know someone who can provide ALL of those things! It is with this train of thought or line of thinking, that it was placed on my heart this morning to talk about, “He’s An I Can Do Anything Kind of God!” Yes He IS! And AMEN goes right here! Question #2. Why do we put limits on a God that has no limits? Has He not proven as it is documented in the Holy Bible over thousands of years that He can do miraculous feats without even batting an eye? The Bible states that “you have not because you ask not! James 4:2-3 And my God shall supply all of your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19.
This next statement I’m about to make will draw some sort of criticism I’m sure from some people, but it is very true….. I would be willing to bet all the money I have, that the very reason a lot of you reading this devotional right now don’t receive what you ask God for, is because you never had “mustard seed” Faith that He would grant or Bless you with it in the first place? Oh you prayed for it alright, and maybe are still praying for it daily. You might have even asked other people to pray for it on your behalf too? However, it is your own very lack of Faith that is keeping it from happening more than likely. Think about it, how many times do we seek the prayers of other people for something we want or need God to do for us? Now hold up, hold up, hold up, don’t go getting all up in your “Holy Feelings” on me for saying that, I am not saying that there is anything wrong with asking other’s to pray for what you are praying for God to do for you. What I am saying, is that the Bible clearly states that “IF” we ask Him for ANYTHANG that we “NEED,” He WILL provide all of our “needs” true or false? The problem we as human beings run into, is that we are asking for things we know we don’t necessarily “need,” but simply want! Tell me I’m wrong, I’ll wait……..exactly you can’t because you know it is true isn’t it? That is not to say that God won’t bless us with some of the things we want, it just means that we need to make sure we are more focusing on the things we actually need. Look around people, for the most part there are people who would give anything to have what a lot of us have right now and we have the audacity to think or feel like we are at rock bottom or the end of our rope so to speak. Think of all the people who are homeless, jobless, hungry and starving, or sickly and laying in a hospital or nursing home bed just waiting on a miracle, or God to call them home? Regardless of whatever it is that you need, God CAN provide it! The million dollar question is, will He and if so, when? He’s another bombshell I’ll drop on you……..just maybe the reason you aren’t receiving the things you are asking for, is because you have not proven to God that you can “properly” manage them, BOOM!!! There it is! Yes I said it, and before you go getting mad at me for saying it, I am in that category right there with you! There are some things that I have asked God everyday for, that He has not allowed them to come to pass YET. Now watch this…..there are prayers that I have prayed for other people and He answered them right away! Go figure as the old saying goes…..Not every prayer that I prayed for someone else, but a lot of them He has answered very quickly. It just must not be MY season for my prayers to be answered yet. As crazy as it sounds, I am OKAY with that! I know God may not come when we want Him to, but He’s always right on time! Amen
Let me get down in the meat of this message…..did God not allow the DALLAS COWBOYS beat the New Orleans “WhoDatNation” Saints last night? I just had to put that one in there LOL!!! J (Yes I know God doesn’t concern Himself with that sort of thing LOL!) And did God not show Noah and his family mercy by allowing them what 120 years to build the Ark before He sent the 40 days and 40 nights of rain that flooded the earth? Did God not place HIS mark of protection upon Cain after he slew (killed) his brother Abel? Did God not allow Lott and his family to escape the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah? Did God not deliver the children of Israel from slavery in Egypt under Pharaoh by parting the Red Sea just long enough for them to cross safely to the other side before closing it back up on Pharaoh’s army? Did God not allow young David to defeat the Philistine Giant Goliath in battle when David was just a teenager? Did God not spare the lives of the three Hebrew boys when they were thrown in the Fiery furnace for being loyal to Him? And did God not close the hungry lions mouths when Daniel was thrown in there by king Nebuchadnezzar. Did God not bless King Solomon to be known as the wisest and richest king in the Bible? Did got not allow Abraham to be known as the founder of a new nation and promise him that his seed (generations of his offspring) would inherit the land of Canaan? And I guess the best example of God being an “I Can Do Anything” is when He impregnated Mary with Jesus Christ. And did God not wake YOU up this morning and allow you to see another day that you’ve never seen before and may never see again? Now, after being reminded of all the great things God can do without even batting an eye or lifting a finger, what are you waiting on to take advantage of it? Here’s a little tip for what it’s worth, focus more on the things you NEED than the things you want. Also, make sure you show God appreciation for all the things He has already blessed you with in the past, is currently blessing you with right now and even the things He will bless you with in the future. Last but not least, figure out a way that you can serve Him if you have never done anything for the Kingdom of Heaven. If you have been serving Him, strive to serve Him better and in bigger ways than before. It is only then that the things that you WANT will begin to trickle down from Heaven to you. That is “IF” God feels it is time for your season to reap the harvest you’ve been sowing. Can I leave you with a question to ponder today if I may?
“Are you a “Ride or Die” servant of the Lord God in Heaven? If not, what are you waiting on?” Can I get an Amen?
