I don't know what was in the water at the complex this past weekend, but I’ve never seen so many weird, uncharacteristic plays in my life. Base runners missing bags, routine pop-flies getting dropped out of nowhere, and two different people on our team managed to completely snap their composite bats on clean pitches.
When I was complaining about it, our shortstop joked that we are currently in a Mercury retrograde cycle.
