Large commercial structures perform better when the primary steel is fabricated specifically for the design loads and layout requirements. We used custom structural components during the construction of a distribution facility with wide open floor areas and heavy rooftop equipment. Our engineer specified
beams and columns so each piece matched the exact dimensions and load calculations for the project. The steel arrived clearly labeled, installation moved efficiently, and the erectors had very few adjustments to make on site. The finished frame felt exceptionally solid, and later inspections confirmed that everything aligned exactly as intended. That precision reduced delays and gave us confidence that the building would handle long-term operational demands. In our case, custom steel was a very practical choice for improving both structural strength and construction efficiency.
