I’ve been thinking a lot about personal branding in tech lately. A couple of years ago I was just doing my job quietly as a backend developer, never posting anything online. Then a colleague of mine started sharing small insights about AI projects she worked on, speaking at meetups, writing short posts about lessons learned. Within a year, she was getting invitations to collaborate and even job offers. It made me wonder: how much does a personal brand actually matter in the tech industry? Is it about skills, visibility, or just consistency? I’m not sure where to even start without feeling fake.
