Considering the age and simplicity of Terminal 1 at Kuwait International Airport, my overall experience flying with Emirates Airlines KWE Terminal was seamless and delightful, exceeding my expectations. As soon as I walked into the terminal, I could easily find the Emirates check-in counters, which were manned by friendly, competent agents who expedited the process and provided clear instructions on what to do next. Even though Terminal 1 was an older facility, it was surprisingly well-kept, well-organized, and operational, with immigration and security proceeding smoothly. Airport staff were on hand to help anyone in need, and the signage was obvious. Once through the formalities, I found enough seating space, clean restrooms, and a few cafés and duty-free outlets to pass the time before boarding. Although amenities were limited, everything necessary was available and well-maintained. The boarding process was efficient and clearly announced in both Arabic and English, and Emirates gate staff ensured an orderly experience, assisting families and elderly travelers first. As soon as I boarded, the Emirates difference became apparent—clean, comfortable seating even in Economy Class, a wide range of in-flight entertainment options through their ICE system, and a meal that was both delicious and well-presented. The cabin crew were outstanding, constantly checking in on passengers with genuine attentiveness and professionalism. The entire journey felt comfortable, stress-free, and well-managed from start to finish. Even though Terminal 1 is not the most glamorous terminal in the region, Emirates clearly knows how to maintain its high standards regardless of the location. Their ground team at Kuwait and onboard crew delivered the same five-star service the airline is known for worldwide. I wouldn’t hesitate to fly Emirates again from Kuwait, as the entire experience was efficient, friendly, and very well-executed at every step.
