The experience of flying with Delta Air Lines from Dubai World Central (DWC), also called Al Maktoum International Airport, was seamless and surprisingly enjoyable. It provided a more efficient and quieter option to the more crowded Dubai International Airport (DXB). DWC is still developing as a hub for commercial passengers, but from the time I arrived, it seemed well-run and user-friendly. Because the terminal was larger, cleaner, and much less congested than DXB, the check-in and security procedures seemed much more relaxed right away. The employees at Delta's check-in desks were kind and professional, handling baggage and travel document checks quickly. I appreciated how quickly I moved from the entrance through to the departure gate, saving time and stress. Inside the terminal, amenities were simple but sufficient, with a few cafes, duty-free shops, restrooms, and plenty of seating with charging points. While not as luxurious as other international hubs, DWC offered everything essential for a comfortable pre-flight experience. Boarding was prompt and organized, with announcements in both English and Arabic, and the gate agents handled the process efficiently. Once on board the Delta aircraft—typically a wide-body like the Boeing 767 or 777—the comfort level increased significantly. Even in Economy Class, the seats were well-padded with good legroom, individual screens offered a wide range of entertainment, and the crew was attentive, friendly, and professional. Meals were served on time and were of good quality, and the overall cabin environment felt calm and welcoming.
