The equipment in the treatment rooms at our resort in Bristol was being replaced, and after the replacement, we faced the problem of disposing of the old equipment. The hallways were filled with discarded IV stands, old manual beds, boxes of expired supplies, and used care products. Under UK law, mixing this type of waste with regular trash is a surefire way to face a regulatory investigation and a hefty fine. To avoid burdening the staff, we called in a care home waste management service. The team arrived on time, quickly and carefully loaded all the bulky and hazardous waste into the truck, and provided a complete set of documents for the regulatory authorities. The issue was resolved in literally one visit.
