My wife’s Isabella has been in her family since 1960. We recently had the car serviced and learned that the tie rod is failing and it is unsafe to drive in its current condition. We had learned over the years that replacing parts like brakes, steering and suspension can be substituted with Mercedes Benz parts from similar years. Looks like for tie rods that may not be the case. We order a 1959 Mercedes tie rod and it was an inch and a half short. We live in San Jose CA and have sourced parts from the gentleman in Reno, Nevada who maintained a large supply of Borgward parts. Unfortunately he does not seem is around anymore. Would you know of any Borgward parts suppliers or substitutes for tie rods (maybe a Karman Ghia?). Thanks Ed
