I live in Belgium and I have 2 900E Express vans. One is currently undergoing full body off restoration. Once the body is finished I will install the original injection 900 2-stroke engine under the drivers seat.
The original engine is indeed notorious for overheating when driven at low speed, but it does perform quite well at higher revs... they have a better torque than the VW vans had, and several owners even flipped them over, trying to make turns at too high speeds. Good van for the highways, not for the city traffic.
Those express vans and busses are quite rare, and parts are very hard to come by. Autodus in Germany had some parts made http://www.autodus.de/ and there is also a website in Germany that keeps track of the Goliaths. http://www.goliath-veteranen-club.de/
