[NOTE: This letter from 1960 was from the President of “Loh Motors, Inc.” in Stamford, Connecticut. The letterhead reads: “ENGLISH FORD – MG – AUSTIN HEALY – MORRIS – BORGWARD – AVIS RENT. A. CAR.”
I wonder if Avis every rented Borgwards?! Mail delivery overnight from Stamford to New York City! Were people really more respectful back then?]

Dear Mr. Santelli:
Yesterday we mailed to your parts department quite a sizeable order including some sheet metal. Since we planned to pick up a new Combi Wagon today, we decided it would be convenient if we could bring the parts back in the wagon.
When our driver arrived at Fergus in New York he asked if this could be arranged and was told it could be. He was told to leave his plates and come back in an hour.
When he arrived back his license plates were on the car and the complete parts order (no back orders) was in the wagon ready to go.
We have been in the imported automobile business for some time now and never have we dealt with a finer organization than yours. It is always s pleasure to do business with you. Will you say thank you for me to all the people who gave us such fine service today.
Best personal regards.
Yours truly,
LOH MOTORS, INC.
