355th Fighter Group / Takhli Reunion in DC Sep 15-19th, 2021

The reunion planned for 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic but it will take place this year from Sep 15th to the 19th, with Base of Operations at the Holiday Inn in Arlington VA near Reagan National Airport.
Probably past some deadlines but if you are interested look in on the 355th/Takhli Facebook Group at
If not on Facebook you may email Mike Dunn directly to see if still time to get in on the reunion and book a hotel at the Holiday Inn - if not there are others nearby but it's best to say at the Reunion's designated hotel if you can. Mike's email is MJDBKPA13@aol.com.
A highlight will be the tour of the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum, it's an "annex" to the Air and Space Museum on the Mall in DC. Not exactly new but I have not been there so I'm looking forward to that day. That tour is on Thursday Sep 16th from 9 till 5 with bus transportation.
The closing banquet on Saturday night is another big part of each reunion.
Please contact Mike to see if you can still arrange to attend but do so ASAP . Always a good four days and nights - it will cost a few coins but look around and you'll realize that reunions for all the Vietnam era groups will likely wind down or get smaller and smaller over the next 15 years.

Thoughts directed toward the families of the Marine and Navy service members lost in Kabul on Thursday. The airlift of personnel out of Afghanistan is testimony to the professionalism of the US Air Force, Air Guard and AF Reserve- especially all who fly and maintain our transport aircraft. Proud of everyone involved.

I spoke with Mike and "Walkins" are welcome. I would recommend contacting the hotel however and making mention that you are with the 355th Fighter Group Reunion -- then check prices == the rate for the reunion is not necessarily lower than the rate you can get online so check before finalizing. I learned there is no free breakfast. Hot "To Go" breakfasts are available but there is a charge for that service. I found a McDonalds about two blocks from the hotel and there may be other breakfast spots.
Also I learned there are vendors along the Mall in DC that will store luggage if you need that service and I will on Sunday. Get the Luggage Hero app for you cell phone. More info on their website: luggagehero.com
