As mod of this Board I get some interesting questions about our wartime service. I'll admit this was one is a new topic but I am glad to post it and see if anyone has some help or maybe a pointer to anyone else who might be able to assist. This goes back to the early days - construction on the US side of the Base and probably more for another Branch of the service. If you have anything please contact Eli Elinoff directly at eli.elinoff@vuw.ac.nz He's in Wellington NZ right now previously was working out of Bangkok.
Thanks and all be safe.

Hi There,
My name is Eli Elinoff. I am an American academic currently conducting research on the history of cement and concrete in Thailand. I’ve become curious about the history of US construction in Thailand during the Vietnam war era and I am curious to know if you or anyone you know has much information about this. I am particularly interested in Takhli Air Force Base because of its proximity to the Jalaphrathan cement factory, which was located in Takhli city. This is how I found your website.
Look forward to hearing back and potentially speaking more in the future.
Best,
Eli Elinoff
