My husband was at Takhli and was a aircraft electrical repairman. He was in the barracks close to flight line. He had a seizure and was sent home. He later developed prostate cancer and then colon cancer. We filed a claim but was denied. He died five years ago and I'm trying again. I finally got his medical records but not one word in there about his seizure. This is a picture of him when he graduated Chanute AFB and the other is a picture he sent me that he took from the tower. That's all it says on the picture.Would that have put him on the perimeter. thank you for any help. jvbixler2@charter.net

Hey, I was in the 54th at Chanute in 1965. I was also at Takhli 67 & 68 as an aircraft electrician with KC-135 tankers. We were a small attachment with 6 aircraft. Another person who might know your husband is Dan Duran. He was a "red rope" at Chanute and served with me at Takhli. I think he came from Minot AFB. Yes, he would have been exposed to A/O as we all were. The Thai guards used the empty A/O barrels to hold up their shade umbrellas on the flight line. I'm suffering with MG and a "mild" case of prostate cancer. I'm 73. John
