I can't remember taking pictures. If I did, they were lost in a messy divorce many years ago... |
I probably did, as I bought a SLR camera while there and took lots of slides which I developed in the Photo hobby shop.
The US Army provided security for this site. We typically had at least 1 US and several Thai Army guards on site. Did you take any PICTURES? We had 8 large 60 ft antennas]
I do not remember. We had very few visitors.
I was T the site on 3 different assignments.
I was discharged in October of 73 at Tajikistan and continued to work as a GS with Federal Electric
A long time ago
I was assigned to the remote Com site, on the large hill on the right headed towards town.
I was at tahkli from 11/71 to 03/72
At Korat until 10/72
Then back to Tahkli until October 73
Assigned to Nakon Phanom in October 73 left early 74
Then to Kon kain until summer 74
Then back to Tahkli from summer of 74 and left
Thailand summer 75
Do you remember a buck or SSgt with an American wife and son in country, visiting you at that site?
Were there any Army enlisted assigned there? Did it have the big golf ball like antennas?
