Hi Gerald, If you have information (documentation or photos) could you send it along to me as well? sar143atgmaildotcom. My father-in-law was stationed at Takhli as an air traffic controller in 68-69. His claim (he has CLL) is coming up for appeal soon. He said they used to cut through the airstrip overrun area to get to their post & that area was sprayed to keep weeds down. |
Yes, it appears they sprayed the area several times. I have some information but it isn't organized I am trying to get it that way but will help with whatever I can. I guess everyone puts their email out in code so there isn't a bunch of spam mail so send me an email at gwarren4atattdotnet
Not too hard to figure that out..
I was a baker there, was elected to go out with several Airman and get ready to meet the Cong that Hanoi Hanna said was coming 12/05/68. I remember that they had Cats out to clear a parameter and someone said one of the operators ran over a king cobra nest and had to leave the cat. Did they spray A/O the area to?
I was there. I am also gathering information if you want to compare notes let me know.
I had a minor surgery Jan. 1979 USAF in Lubbock, Tx the night before nurses and medics rushed into my room saying I was having a heart attack, I was 31 yrs old at the time and in 1996 at 49 I had a major heart attack (5-way bypass).
Now I find out from my cardiologist that agent orange is a cause of my heart problems. But I have been wondering Hanoi Hanna said she was sending the Cong there in time for the Kings birthday Dec. 05, 1968. I remember crawling thru the jungle and getting ready for this event. Nothing happened but I know they were clearing a perimeter so we could see when we are being attacked. Does anyone remember this and has anyone know if agent orange was distributed around the base?
